Strömstads is a locality and the seat of Strömstad Municipality in Västra Götaland County, Sweden. It lies on the Bohuslän coast in western Sweden, near the border with Norway, along the Skagerrak. The town serves as the gateway to the Koster Islands and to Kosterhavet National Park, Sweden’s first marine national park, established in 2009.
