Stratosferike

Stratosferike is a term that refers to phenomena or objects found within or originating from the stratosphere. The stratosphere is the second major layer of Earth's atmosphere, above the troposphere and below the mesosphere. It extends from about 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) to 50 kilometers (31 miles) above the Earth's surface. This region is characterized by a significant increase in temperature with altitude, primarily due to the absorption of ultraviolet radiation by the ozone layer, which is concentrated in the lower stratosphere.

Objects or events that are described as stratospheric typically involve altitudes within this layer. Examples include certain types of high-altitude weather balloons, research aircraft, and atmospheric phenomena like noctilucent clouds, which form in the upper stratosphere or mesosphere. The term can also be used in contexts related to atmospheric science, aviation, and even astronomy when discussing observations made from or through this atmospheric layer. Because of its relative stability and less turbulent conditions compared to the troposphere, the stratosphere is often an attractive region for scientific research and specialized flight operations.
