Stilzüge
Stilzüge is a term used in literary criticism and linguistics to describe the characteristic stylistic features of a text, an author, or a literary period. It refers to clusters of recurring patterns that give a work its recognizable style, beyond individual devices. Stilzüge can be linguistic, such as word choice, sentence length, rhythm, syntax, and punctuation; they can be rhetorical, including narrative perspective, voice, and discourse mode; and they can be thematic or tonal, encompassing mood, imagery, and attitudes.
