SrhoA
SrhoA is a protein found in the bacterium *Streptococcus pneumoniae*. It is a member of the Sortase A family of enzymes, which are involved in the modification and anchoring of surface proteins in Gram-positive bacteria. Specifically, SrhoA is responsible for cleaving a specific amino acid motif at the C-terminus of certain surface proteins. This cleavage allows the protein to be covalently attached to the bacterial cell wall.
The primary function of SrhoA in *Streptococcus pneumoniae* is to facilitate the display of essential surface
