Sprintmålet is a Swedish term that translates to "sprint goal" in English. It is a key concept within the Scrum framework, a popular agile methodology for managing complex projects. The sprint goal is a single, overarching objective that the Scrum Team aims to achieve during a single sprint.

The purpose of a sprint goal is to provide focus and direction for the development team. It helps the team understand why they are building the increment they are working on and what value it will deliver. A well-defined sprint goal allows the team to make informed decisions throughout the sprint, guiding their daily work and helping them to adapt to new information or challenges. It also serves as a commitment from the development team to the Product Owner and stakeholders, outlining what will be accomplished by the end of the sprint.

The sprint goal is collaboratively created during the Sprint Planning event. The Product Owner proposes how the product could increase its value in the current sprint, and the entire Scrum Team then works together to define a Sprint Goal that is achievable within the sprint duration. The sprint goal should be specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART), although the emphasis is on clear and understandable language rather than strict adherence to the SMART acronym. It should be a concise statement that clearly articulates the desired outcome of the sprint.
