Spider-Woman is a Marvel Comics superheroine with a variety of individuals using the moniker across different comic book series. The most well-known iteration is Jessica Drew, who first appeared in Marvel Spotlight #32 in 1977. Drew was a spy who gained her powers through an experimental process involving irradiated spiders. Her abilities typically include superhuman strength, agility, speed, and reflexes, as well as the capacity to adhere to surfaces. She also possesses a bio-electric "venom blast" and can generate wings that allow her to fly or glide.
Over the years, other characters have also taken on the mantle of Spider-Woman. Julia Carpenter, who debuted
