Spellinfused

Spellinfused refers to items, beings, or artifacts that have been imbued with magical spells through a deliberate infusion process performed by a spellcaster. In fantasy and gaming contexts, spellinfusion is a method of transferring a spell’s effect from a caster’s mind to a tangible bearer, enabling access to magical power without continuous casting.

Mechanics typically require magical energy, scarce materials, and time. The resulting item contains one or more active abilities, charges, or conditional effects that may trigger on use or operate passively. Infusions may be permanent or spell out after a period, and some systems allow recharging or replacement of infusions. Risks include misfires, backlash, or reduced durability if the infusion is overloaded or poorly aligned with the user’s mana.

Variants include spellinfused weapons that grant elemental or enhanced damage, armor that provides protective auras, and tools or artifacts with utility effects such as detection, warding, or teleportation. In some settings, beings can be spellinfused when their physiology is altered by persistent magical influence, granting innate or augmented powers.

Creation and acquisition are often described as specialized crafting or enchantment work, requiring an experienced spellcaster, a focus or workshop, and appropriate materials. Infusions can be purchased, earned as quest rewards, or undertaken as rites that bind a spell to an object or organism.
