Spelets

Spelets is a possessive determiner used in Swedish (and similarly in Norwegian and other West Scandinavian varieties) formed from the definite form spelet, meaning “the game.” It expresses a relation of belonging or association and translates to the English “the game’s” when placed before a following noun.

In Swedish grammar, spelets serves to indicate ownership of the following noun, as in spelets regler (the game’s rules) or spelets värld (the game’s world).
