Specialsträckor, often translated as special stages or special sections, are a fundamental component of many forms of motorsport, particularly rally racing. These are designated portions of roads or tracks that are closed off to regular traffic and are used for timed competition. Unlike traditional circuit racing where a full lap or set number of laps constitutes a race, rally events are broken down into multiple specialsträckor.
