Sojaöl

Sojaöl is a vegetable oil extracted from the seeds of the soybean plant, Glycine max. It is one of the most widely consumed vegetable oils in the world due to its availability, relatively low cost, and versatility in culinary and industrial applications. The extraction process typically involves crushing the soybeans and then using a solvent, such as hexane, to remove the oil. The crude oil is then refined through a series of steps including degumming, neutralizing, bleaching, and deodorizing to remove impurities and undesirable flavors and odors.

Soybean oil is a rich source of polyunsaturated fatty acids, particularly linoleic acid (an omega-6 fatty acid) and alpha-linolenic acid (an omega-3 fatty acid). It also contains monounsaturated fats and a smaller amount of saturated fats. This fatty acid profile contributes to its use in various food products, including salad dressings, margarines, shortenings, and fried foods. Industrially, soybean oil is utilized in the production of paints, biofuels, and lubricants. Its mild flavor and high smoke point make it suitable for a variety of cooking methods.
