Skoians are a sapient, bipedal species native to the ocean world Skoi in the outer rim. They are distinguished by adaptive dermal chromatophores that allow rapid color changes and subtle signaling across social groups. Physiology supports semi-aquatic life: adults typically stand 1.6 to 1.95 meters tall, with webbed fingers and toes, and skin tones ranging from coppery to slate blue; lungs are efficient, with the capacity for brief underwater respiration through specialized membranes.
