Skiddaw
Skiddaw is a mountain in the northern Lake District, Cumbria, England. With a height of 931 metres (3,054 feet), it is the highest peak in the Lake District and a distinctive feature of the Keswick area. The summit and upper slopes are formed largely from Skiddaw slate, an Ordovician grey rock, while the lower flanks are covered by heather and grass. The mountain is part of the Skiddaw Massif in the Northern Fells and lies within the Lake District National Park.
