Sintópicas is a term used in dermatology to describe lesions that appear in the same location on symmetrical parts of the body. This pattern of distribution suggests a shared underlying cause, such as a systemic disease, an inherited predisposition, or an environmental exposure that affects both sides of the body equally.

For example, if a person develops a rash on both forearms in the exact same pattern, that rash would be considered sintópicas. This contrasts with ectopic lesions, which appear in unrelated and asymmetrical locations. The presence of sintópicas lesions is a significant clinical clue for dermatologists when diagnosing skin conditions.
