The particle size of zinc dust can vary significantly, influencing its properties and applications. Its primary use is in protective coatings for steel, most notably in galvanizing processes. In this application, zinc dust is a key component in cold galvanizing compounds, providing sacrificial protection to prevent rust and corrosion.
