SiloxanSegmenten

SiloxanSegmenten refers to specific molecular chains or blocks composed of repeating siloxane units within a larger polymer structure. Siloxanes are a class of organosilicon compounds with the general formula [R2SiO]n, where R is an organic group, typically methyl, and n is a whole number. In the context of polymers, siloxansegmenten are incorporated to impart particular properties.

These segments are characterized by the alternating silicon-oxygen backbone (Si-O-Si). The presence of these siloxane segments is responsible for many of the unique attributes associated with silicon-based polymers, such as polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS).
