Silmäkehykseen, meaning "into the eyeglass frame" in Finnish, refers to the process of fitting lenses into eyeglasses. This is a crucial step in creating functional eyewear. The frame itself is designed to hold the lenses in the correct position relative to the wearer's eyes, ensuring proper vision correction and comfort.

The process involves several stages. First, the eyeglass lenses are cut and shaped to match the precise measurements of the frame's lens openings, often called "rims."
