Sihlsee
Sihlsee is a reservoir located in the canton of Schwyz, Switzerland. It is situated in the municipality of Einsiedeln, close to the Benedictine Einsiedeln Abbey. The lake was created in 1936 by the construction of the Sihlsee dam, a gravity dam. The primary purpose of the Sihlsee dam is hydroelectric power generation, managed by the Kraftwerke Sihltal Zürichsee AG.
