Shownu

Shownu, whose full name is Sohn Hyun-woo, is a South Korean singer, dancer, and leader of the boy group Monsta X. He was born on June 18, 1992, in Seoul, South Korea. Before joining Monsta X, Shownu was a trainee at JYP Entertainment and was part of the pre-debut project group JJ Project, which eventually debuted as GOT7. He also had a brief stint as a trainee at Starship Entertainment before debuting with Monsta X in 2015.

Shownu is widely recognized for his exceptional dance skills and powerful stage presence. He is considered one of the best dancers in K-pop and often takes center stage for complex choreography. In addition to his role as leader and main dancer, he also contributes as a vocalist in Monsta X. The group has released numerous hit songs and albums, achieving significant popularity both domestically and internationally.

Beyond Monsta X's group activities, Shownu has also participated in various solo endeavors. He has released solo music, featured in songs with other artists, and appeared on reality television shows. His dedication to fitness and his strong physique are also notable aspects of his public image. In 2021, he enlisted for his mandatory military service in South Korea.
