Shellkers

Shellkers are a fictional species featured in the video game Subnautica. They are a type of hostile fauna encountered in the Aurora and its surrounding areas. Physically, Shellkers resemble crabs with a hard, segmented exoskeleton. They possess multiple limbs, which they use for locomotion and defense. Their primary method of attack is to scuttle towards the player and strike with their limbs. When damaged, Shellkers will often retreat or attempt to disorient the player with a sudden burst of movement.
