Shamanist

Shamanism is a spiritual practice traditionally found in many indigenous cultures around the world. At its core, shamanism involves a practitioner, known as a shaman, who acts as an intermediary between the human world and the spirit world. Shamans are believed to possess the ability to enter altered states of consciousness, often through drumming, chanting, or the use of entheogenic plants, to communicate with spirits, ancestors, or deities. Shamans can also be keepers of tradition and lore, responsible for preserving cultural knowledge and performing important rituals. The journey into the spirit world is a central element of shamanic practice, often described as a metaphorical or literal voyage.

While often associated with tribal or indigenous communities, shamanic practices have seen renewed interest and adaptation in various contemporary settings. These modern interpretations may differ from traditional forms but often retain the core concept of connecting with spiritual forces for personal or communal well-being.
