Seitiä

Seitiä refers to a category of fish belonging to the family Macrouridae, commonly known as grenadiers or rattails. These deep-sea fish are characterized by their elongated, tapering bodies that end in a narrow tail, resembling a rat's tail, hence their common name. Seitiä are found in oceans worldwide, typically inhabiting abyssal and bathyal zones at depths ranging from a few hundred to several thousand meters. Their diet often consists of small invertebrates and other fish found on the seafloor.
