Secpentanone

Secpentanone, also known as pentan-3-one or diethyl ketone, is an organic compound in the ketone family. Its molecular formula is C5H10O and its molecular weight is 86.13 g/mol. The molecule contains a carbonyl group (C=O) at the third carbon of the pentane chain, giving a diethyl ketone with two ethyl substituents arranged around the carbonyl carbon (CH3-CH2-CO-CH2-CH3).
