Schnittspannung
Schnittspannung, also known as shear stress, is a measure of the internal forces that act parallel to a surface, within a material. It arises when external forces cause one part of a body to slide or shear relative to another. Imagine pushing the top of a stack of paper sideways while the bottom remains stationary.
