Sampras
Pete Sampras is an American former professional tennis player who dominated men’s tennis in the 1990s. He won 14 Grand Slam singles titles: Australian Open two (1994, 1997), Wimbledon seven (1993, 1994, 1995, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000), and the US Open five (1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1995). He did not win the French Open. Sampras held the world No. 1 ranking for a total of 286 weeks and finished as year-end No. 1 for six consecutive seasons (1993–1998).
