Saltsolvent is a term used to describe a liquid that can dissolve ionic compounds, also known as salts. These liquids are typically polar, meaning they have a partial positive charge on one end of the molecule and a partial negative charge on the other. This polarity allows the solvent molecules to surround and separate the positively charged cations and negatively charged anions of the salt, effectively dissolving it.
