SachsenGotha was a German state that existed from 1826 to 1918. It was formed from the merger of Saxe-Gotha and Saxe-Altenburg, though its name was retained as Saxe-Gotha. The duchy was part of the Confederation of the Rhine and later the German Confederation. Its capital was Gotha.
