SN48

SN48 is a Chinese idol group formed in 2012 as part of the AKB48 Group, a network of idol groups based in Japan. The group is managed by the Beijing-based entertainment company, SNH48 Production. SN48 is the first AKB48 sister group to be established outside of Japan, marking a significant milestone in the global expansion of the AKB48 brand.

The group's name, SN48, is derived from the Chinese words "Shi Nian" (十年), meaning "ten years," and "48," referencing the group's initial lineup of 48 members.
