Rücksendetikett is a German term that translates to "return label" in English. It is a crucial component of the online shopping process, facilitating the return of goods from a customer to a seller. Typically, a Rücksendetikett is a pre-printed label containing all the necessary information for the parcel to be correctly rerouted. This information usually includes the sender's address, the recipient's address (often the seller's or a designated returns center), a unique tracking number, and sometimes a barcode for automated scanning.

Retailers often provide a Rücksendetikett to customers as part of their returns policy. This can be sent via email as a printable document or included physically in the original shipping package. The customer affixes the Rücksendetikett to the outside of the return parcel, ensuring it is clearly visible. This simplifies the returns process for both the customer, who doesn't need to manually write out all the details, and the seller, who can process returns more efficiently.
