Ryuukyuu
Ryukyu was a historical kingdom of the Ryukyu Islands, which are part of present-day Okinawa Prefecture in Japan. The kingdom existed from 1429 to 1879, when it was annexed by Japan following the Treaty of Amity and Commerce with the U.S., and a subsequent series of agreements led to its reunification with Japan.
