Rysunkowy

Rysunkowy is a Polish adjective meaning drawn, drawing-based, or cartoon-like, used to designate works and styles rooted in drawing rather than photography. It derives from the noun rysunek, drawing, and the verb rysować, to draw. In art and illustration, rysunkowy describes media in which line work—contours, hatchings, and flat areas of color—dominates the image. The term is found in phrases such as styl rysunkowy (a drawn style) or ilustracja rysunkowa (drawing-based illustration). In publishing and editorial contexts, rysunkowy imagery emphasizes hand-drawn aesthetics, often for cartoons, comic art, or storyboard-like visuals.

In film and animation, rysunkowy refers to works created from drawings, notably film rysunkowy or animacja rysunkowa, which historically denotes traditional hand-drawn animation.
