Ruumiinonteloa

Ruumiinonteloa refers to the body cavities found within the human and animal bodies. These cavities are essential spaces that house and protect vital organs. The two primary body cavities are the dorsal cavity and the ventral cavity.

The dorsal cavity is located on the posterior side of the body and is further divided into two subdivisions. The cranial cavity, within the skull, contains the brain. The vertebral cavity, enclosed by the vertebral column, houses the spinal cord.

The ventral cavity is located on the anterior side of the body and is the larger of the two main cavities. It is further divided into the thoracic cavity and the abdominopelvic cavity by the diaphragm, a muscular sheet. The thoracic cavity, located in the chest, contains the heart and lungs. The abdominopelvic cavity is below the diaphragm and is divided into the abdominal cavity, which contains organs like the stomach, intestines, liver, and spleen, and the pelvic cavity, which houses organs such as the bladder, reproductive organs, and rectum. These cavities provide crucial protection and allow for the organized arrangement and functioning of internal organs.
