Ruotsinsalmi
Ruotsinsalmi is a historic naval fortress located in Kotka, Finland. Its construction began in 1790 during the Russo-Swedish War, following the Swedish victory at the Battle of Ruotsinsalmi in 1789. The fortress was designed to protect the Russian Empire's naval base at Viapori (now Suomenlinna) and to control access to the Gulf of Finland.
