Ruiskutettu

Ruiskutettu is a Finnish past participle of the verb ruiskuttaa (to spray or to inject). As an adjective it describes something that has had a liquid applied to it by spraying or by injection. The term is used in everyday language as well as in technical and regulatory contexts to indicate that a spraying or injection step has been carried out.

In agriculture and plant care, fields, crops, or plant material can be ruiskutettu with pesticides, fungicides, or fertilizers. The phrase appears in reports or manuals to denote that spraying has taken place, for example pellot ruiskutettiin torjunta-aineilla. In veterinary medicine, animals may be ruiskutettu with vaccines or medicines, meaning they have received an injection.

In medical and pharmaceutical contexts the expression describes treatments delivered by syringe. The form is neutral and common in Finnish technical writing, including documentation, instructions, and safety notes. Like many participial adjectives, ruiskutettu is inflected to indicate number and case: ruiskutetun, ruiskutettujen, ruiskutettuun, etc., depending on its syntactic role.
