Rubayat
Rubayat refers to a collection of quatrains, or four-line stanzas. The term originates from the Persian word "rubāʿī," which translates to "quatrain." The most famous example of a Rubaiyat is the collection of poems by the 11th-century Persian mathematician and poet Omar Khayyam. His Rubaiyat, translated into English by Edward FitzGerald in 1859, became immensely popular in the Western world.
