Rrethit

Rrethit is a small rural settlement in the highlands of the fictional country of Ardinia. It lies near the Rreth River and is surrounded by rolling farmland and woodland. The name derives from the Albanian word rreth, meaning circle or perimeter, reflecting the village’s roughly circular layout around a central square.

Historically, Rrethit developed as an agricultural community in the late medieval period. Landholding followed customary patterns, and the parish church became a focal point for social life. In the 19th and 20th centuries, the village expanded modestly with the construction of farmsteads and a small market.

Geographically, Rrethit sits on a gentle slope with a temperate climate and loamy soil. The economy is predominantly agricultural, with cereals, olives, and livestock as primary activities. Small craft businesses and seasonal labor in nearby towns supplement local income.

Demographically, the settlement has a modest population that has aged over time, with families rooted in farming traditions. Albanian is the majority language, with Ardinian spoken by some residents.
