Rozstawu

Rozstawu is a term used in Polish to describe the distance between two parallel axes, centers of features, or reference points in a construction or manufacturing context. It denotes how far apart elements are arranged and is a key parameter for ensuring proper fit, function, and structural performance. In practice, rozstaw odnosi się do various forms of spatial organization, such as between axes in vehicles (rozstaw osi), between wheels on the same axle (rozstaw kół), between mounting holes in components (rozstaw otworów, for example pitch circle diameter), or between pins on mounting plates and electronic components (rozstaw pinów).

In engineering and transportation, rozstaw is used to specify different kinds of spacing. Rozstaw osi describes the distance between the front and rear axles of a vehicle and influences stability, handling, and interior space. Rozstaw kół, or track width, concerns the distance between the centers of the wheels on the same axle, affecting stability and steering. In rail transport, rozstaw torów, or track gauge, defines the distance between the two rails; there are standard gauges and broad gauges used in different regions. A common example is the standard gauge of about 1,435 mm used in many countries, with other gauges existing elsewhere.

In construction, manufacturing, and electronics, rozstaw otworów governs how mounting holes or connector pads align, ensuring compatibility with fasteners and components. On printed circuit boards and in mechanical assemblies, the pitch (rozstaw pinów) describes the center-to-center spacing of adjacent terminals or pads and is critical for proper mating with connectors and IC pins.
