Rozbiorów is a term that refers to the partitions of Poland, which occurred in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. The partitions were a series of events that resulted in the dismemberment of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth, a state that had existed since 1569. The partitions were carried out by the neighboring powers of Russia, Prussia, and Austria, who sought to weaken and ultimately eliminate the Polish state.
