Romahtaas

Romahtaas is a fictional planetary system located in the outer reaches of the Andromeda Galaxy. It consists of a single yellow dwarf star, Romahta, and four orbiting planets. The system was first cataloged by the Terran Exploration Fleet in the late 23rd century.

The innermost planet, Cinder, is a barren, rocky world with extreme surface temperatures and a thin atmosphere primarily composed of carbon dioxide. It is known for its extensive volcanic activity and rich mineral deposits.

Orbiting further out is Verdant, a lush, tidally locked planet with a dense, oxygen-rich atmosphere. Life on Verdant is characterized by massive, bioluminescent flora and fauna adapted to the perpetual twilight on one side and the scorching sunlight on the other. It is considered a prime candidate for xenobotanical study.

The third planet, Tempest, is a gas giant with a turbulent atmosphere featuring powerful storms and a prominent ring system composed of ice and dust. Its four large moons are thought to harbor subsurface oceans.

The outermost planet, Frostbite, is an ice world with a thick atmosphere of nitrogen and methane. It possesses a highly eccentric orbit, experiencing extreme seasonal variations. Evidence suggests the presence of cryovolcanism beneath its icy crust.

Romahtaas remains largely unexplored due to its significant distance from known interstellar trade routes. However, its unique planetary compositions and potential for exotic resources continue to draw interest from scientific and commercial organizations.
