RiverForge

RiverForge is a town and industrial center located along the Riverbend, a major waterway that bisects the region. It developed around a series of early foundries and workshops that harnessed water power, giving the settlement its name and initial economic focus.

Founded in the early 1800s as a forge settlement, RiverForge grew with the expansion of steel production and shipyards. The 1902 flood reshaped the riverbanks and spurred modern urban planning. In the late 20th century, industries diversified into fabrication and logistics.

The town sits at a confluence that supports river transportation. The landscape includes a historic waterfront, rolling hills inland, and a network of canals and rail corridors connecting to larger markets. The climate is temperate with moderate rainfall.

Main industries are metal fabrication, ship repair, and logistics services. The RiverForge Steel Works dominates heavy manufacturing, while smaller machine shops supply components. The town operates a passenger port, a freight rail spur, and a regional road network; educational institutions include a technical institute and a community college.

RiverForge uses a mayor-council system. The population is diverse, with neighborhoods reflecting industrial heritage and newer residential developments. Cultural highlights include the Forge Park amphitheater, the annual River Festival, and the Ironworks Building, a preserved early factory.
