Riksdagshuset
Riksdagshuset is the home of the Swedish Parliament, the Riksdag. Located on the island of Helgeandsholmen in central Stockholm, it is a prominent landmark and a significant site in Swedish history. The building complex is comprised of several parts, with the most recognizable being the main building designed by Aron Johansson. Construction of the main building began in 1894 and was completed in 1905. Prior to this, the current site housed a medieval fortress and later a royal palace. The historical significance of the location is deeply intertwined with the development of Swedish democracy.
