Rigsrevisionen

Rigsrevisionen is the Danish National Audit Office, an independent institution under the Folketing (Danish Parliament) with the responsibility to audit the state’s finances and the use of public resources. It operates independently of the government and serves as a watchdog over public sector finances.

The office conducts audits of the central government’s annual accounts and the financial statements of ministries and other public agencies. It also audits state-owned enterprises and certain public bodies required by law to be covered. The office engages with international standards for supreme audit institutions and collaborates with peers to promote transparency and accountability.
