Replikaatiokriisit, often translated as replication crises or reproducibility crises, refer to a growing concern within various scientific fields regarding the inability to reproduce or replicate the results of previous studies. This issue has become particularly prominent in fields such as psychology, medicine, and biology, but is also relevant in other disciplines. A replication crisis arises when a significant proportion of published research findings fail to be consistently replicated by independent researchers. This calls into question the validity and reliability of the original findings, and can have serious implications for the advancement of scientific knowledge and the application of research in practice.
