RemoveAttribute

removeAttribute is a method of the Element interface in the Web DOM. It removes a named attribute from an element, so that subsequent calls to getAttribute return null and element properties driven by that attribute reflect its absence.

Syntax: element.removeAttribute(attributeName). Examples: document.querySelector('img').removeAttribute('alt'); or element.removeAttribute('class'). After removal, the attribute is no longer part of the element's markup, and most rendering behavior will revert to the default for that attribute.

Boolean attributes, such as disabled or checked, are considered present when they exist. Removing such an attribute generally disables the boolean state, returning the element to its default behavior.

Return value and errors: The method returns undefined. If attributeName is not a valid name, a DOMException may be thrown; if the attribute does not exist, the call is a no-op.

Namespaced attributes should be removed with removeAttributeNS(namespace, localName) when dealing with SVG or XML. removeAttribute does not affect properties; it only manipulates the element's markup.
