Reidentifikálhatóság

Reidentifikálhatóság refers to the possibility of re-associating anonymized or pseudonymized data with its original individual. While anonymization techniques aim to remove direct identifiers, reidentifikálhatóság arises when indirect identifiers or combinations of data points can be used to infer an individual's identity. This is a significant concern in data privacy, particularly with the increasing availability and volume of data.

The risk of reidentifikálhatóság is influenced by several factors. The more attributes present in a dataset, and the more unique these attributes are, the higher the likelihood of reidentification. For example, a dataset containing age, zip code, and occupation might be easily re-identified if a significant portion of the population matches these characteristics. Furthermore, the availability of external datasets that can be linked to the anonymized data greatly increases the risk. This linkage can happen through publicly available information or by combining multiple datasets from different sources.

Techniques used to mitigate reidentifikálhatóság include k-anonymity, which ensures that each record in a dataset is indistinguishable from at least k-1 other records. Differential privacy is another approach, which adds noise to the data to obscure individual contributions while still allowing for aggregate analysis. Despite these measures, achieving perfect anonymization remains challenging, and continuous vigilance is necessary to protect individual privacy in the face of evolving data analysis capabilities.
