Reicht

Reicht is the present tense, third-person singular form of the German verb reichen. The verb has two main meanings: to reach in a physical sense and to be sufficient or adequate in amount or degree.

In the physical sense, reichen denotes that something extends to a certain point or distance. Examples include Der Fluss reicht bis zur Brücke (The river reaches up to the bridge) and Der Tisch reicht bis zur Wand (The table reaches to the wall). It should not be confused with reich, the adjective meaning wealthy, although they share historical roots related to abundance or extent.
