Regelkamer

Regelkamer is a Dutch noun formed from regel (rule, regulation) and kamer (room). The term is uncommon in contemporary standard Dutch and does not have a single, widely accepted definition. In historical or institutional Dutch usage, regelkamer has been used to denote a room dedicated to handling, displaying, or enforcing rules and procedures within an organization.

In some contexts, such as monasteries, guilds, or prisons, a regelkamer served as an administrative space where disciplinary rules were recorded, reviewed, or overseen, and where related correspondence and logs were kept.
