Redshiftin
Redshiftin refers to the phenomenon of light or other electromagnetic radiation originating from an object increasing in wavelength. This occurs when the source of the radiation is moving away from the observer. The effect is analogous to the Doppler effect for sound waves, where the pitch of a sound decreases as the source moves away. In the context of light, the observed color shifts towards the red end of the spectrum, hence the term "redshift."
The degree of redshift is directly proportional to the relative speed between the source and the observer.
There are different types of redshift. Cosmological redshift is caused by the expansion of space itself, stretching
