Rechtsverkehrs, or right-hand traffic, is a traffic system in which vehicles travel on the right-hand side of the roadway. In Rechtsverkehr systems, the driver's seat is typically on the left side of the vehicle. This configuration is used by the majority of countries and regions around the world.

Globally, roughly two-thirds of the world’s population lives in countries that drive on the right. The choice of whether to drive on the right or left is historical and legal, and it affects road design, vehicle standards, and traffic rules.
