Reamonn

Reamonn was a German rock band formed in 1999 in Münster, Germany. The group was fronted by Rea Garvey (vocals, guitar) and included Uwe Bossert (guitar), Philipp Rauenbusch (bass), and Sebastian Padotny (drums). They performed primarily in English and built a following across German-speaking Europe and beyond.

The band achieved its breakthrough with the debut album Tuesday, released in 2000, which spawned the hit single "Supergirl." The song became one of the era’s best-known German pop-rock tracks, helping the group gain international attention. Throughout the 2000s, Reamonn released a string of studio albums and singles that performed well in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, contributing to their reputation as one of the more commercially successful German acts singing in English.

Reamonn’s music blended melodic rock with pop sensibilities, characterized by strong hooks, polished production, and Garvey’s distinctive vocal style. Their work from this period helped define a wave of German-language bands reaching broader European audiences by singing in English.
