Ravnican
Ravnican is a term used in the Magic: The Gathering trading card game to refer to the Ravnica block, a set of five expansions and one core set that were released between 2005 and 2010. The Ravnica block is set in the city of Ravnica, a metropolis where various guilds coexist and often clash. Each guild in Ravnica represents a different faction, each with its own unique theme, mechanics, and playstyle. The guilds include Azorius Senate, Dimir House Guild, Golgari Swarm, Gruul Clans, Izzet League, Orzhov Syndicate, Rakdos Cult, and Selesnya Conclave. The Ravnica block introduced several innovative mechanics, such as hybrid mana, split cards, and planeswalkers, which have since become staples in the game. The block also features a rich lore and artwork, with each card and set having its own unique design and flavor text. The Ravnica block is widely regarded as one of the most influential and popular blocks in Magic: The Gathering's history.
